Hardy Chinese Orchid– Bletilla striata v. alba – Bloom Time: late Spring. Bletilla striata grows best in full sun in the northern climates to partial shade in the south and in sandy soil with moderate moisture. Make large clumps within a few years with flowering spikes up to 24" and as many as 10- 20 flowers per spike. Best planted in the Spring. Hardiness Zone 6-9.
