Cattleya dowiana f. aurea 'Net Dream' , 2" basket, not blooming size, leaf length approx. 6"-8".

The aurea form typically has larger flowers than standard dowiana, including a different scent. Cattleya dowiana aurea likes less light than most Cattleya, particularly in the summer months. In winter months they go semi-dormant and need less water without fertilizer and less potting medium.

I am always excited to receive a shipment from Seattle Orchids--the orchids are always healthy and well established. This one is especially so--bigger than I expected, with healthy, strong roots. I'm looking forward to a couple of years from now when it blooms.

I ordered over
 dozen orchids from Seattle Orchid, over a few months, and was pleased with every one of them. I noticed that the  packaging was designed to be gentle on the orchids, and yet protect them well, .absent plastic. I'm sure it took a bit of work. The plants themselves arrived in good condition and were of good quality.
I can see that they care about their customers as they do.their orchids.
