Zygopetalum Blue Blazes, 4" Pots. a very fragrant type of zygopetalum, spicy fragrance with beautiful and unusual blooms. This orchid has blooms about 2.5" across and about 4-8 on a stem. These plants like moderate filtered light, watered regularly but dry between. Blooms typically last about 1 month. Once in full bloom, reduce water to extend blooming.

I received a large, healthy specimen in bloom.  The flowers have a beautiful deep purple/blue hue and are strongly fragrant.  The scent is reminiscent of hyacinths and is very pleasant.  It has proven to be a sequential bloomer, putting out a second bloom spike soon after the first finished.  It is now putting out several new growths.  Growing in fir bark, lava rock, and terra cotta with moderate drainage and watering 1-2/week.

Beautiful.Received in perfect shape and had four buds, with one blooming the next day! It smells heavenly, almost like jasmine.  This is my new online orchid shopping spot. Thanks!
